Our History

The genesis of the South Fulton Alumni Chapter, conceived by Brothers La’Micheal V. Eddie and Delmar Whittington, is a testament to visionary leadership and a commitment to the ideals of brotherhood and service within the fraternity.

In 2022, Brothers Whittington (Atlanta Alumni), and Eddie (Dothan Alumni) both Past Polemarchs and seasoned fraternity members, communicated their vision to Southeastern Province Polemarch Brian C. Mock. This began a collaborative effort to bring their idea to fruition. Regular virtual meetings and discussions throughout the year allowed the brothers to refine and envision what the South Fulton Alumni Chapter could become.

In the Fall of 2023, Province Polemarch Mock played a pivotal role in turning the dream into reality by connecting Brothers Damon Peebles (Alpharetta-Smyrna Alumni) and Dr. Johnny Surry (College Park Alumni), forming the “Kore 4.” Together, they set an ambitious goal of recruiting 18 additional dedicated brothers to establish the South Fulton Alumni Chapter. Brother Eddie designed the first layout of the chapter’s logo, and it was perfected by Brother Damon Peebles.

Meetings held virtually became the platform for meticulous planning, leading up to the much-anticipated first meet and greet scheduled with prospective charter members on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, on the campus of Clark Atlanta University, at 7:11pm.

The group met twice in person and twice on Zoom and once with the Province Polemarch Brian Mock in the pursuit of forming the chapter, to which Polemarch Mock advised the group on the rules for chartering. With unwavering commitment and enthusiasm, the South Fulton Alumni Chapter was officially approved by the Grand Board for chartering on September 17, 2024, as announced during the Grand Board Meeting.

On November 3, 2024, at 4965 Butner Rd. Atlanta, GA 30331, Southeastern Province Polemarch Brian Mock signed the South Fulton (GA) Alumni Chapter’s charter, with 22 charter members; a distinguished group of committed individuals, who set the foundation for the chapter's legacy.
